The characters were very well developed and memorable from the first book, Somebody's Darling, that it didn't take any time for me to acclimated to this one, despite the fact that I read the first book a while ago. McCarthy, Parenting Coach. I found it very interesting for my personal quest of the purpose of life.. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for many years and as I read "Creating the Capacity" I felt myself immersed in a new description of so many of the cultural and personal conflicts I have struggled with as both a mother of four and an addiction specialist. This book was written primarily for school psychologists, but I think any educator who is involved in helping children learn to read would find it beneficial, especially those on pre-referral intervention teams (e.g., SLP's, reading specialists, principals) and also special education teachers. I have a whole shelf of vegetable gardening books, but I turn to this one again and again. It is especially nice to work through before bedtime.
