It was a cute book but rather corny. I was warned not to purchase only one book I didn't listen and now I regret that decision. I pulled ours out at 9 when the tips of the stars started to turn black. The book was fast, easy, enjoyable, and often funny to read; I also enjoyed 2 appendices after the end of the book; one was a Q&A with the author; the other was developing a timeline with the characters. This is the older version of The Night Before Christmas. The beginning is pretty slow, but then everything picks up and doesn’t really slow down until the very last page (it was a bit rushed in my opinion). Other useful statistical methods in quality control are relegated to Chapter 17. For example, deciding where an especially complicated subject such as "Six Sigma" fits ("C" for Concept? "P" for Process? "Q" for Quality? or "Six" for obvious reasons). This is now a book I refer to often when starting to work with a new pattern. The book has included some thoughtful illustrations and practical solutions to problems involved in developing a globally inclusive workplace.
